PATIENT DUTIES

Active participation in fulfilling certain duties is essential to fully benefit from one’s rights. Observing one’s duties with commitment means respecting the social community and the healthcare services utilized by all citizens.

The patient must:

  • Behave responsibly at all times, cooperating with all the staff of the Centre, with respect and understanding towards other patients.
  • Inform doctors and healthcare staff of any information that might be useful and necessary for better prevention, diagnosis, and care.
  • Establish a relationship of trust and respect towards the Healthcare Personnel and the Secretariat staff; this is indispensable for setting up a proper diagnostic plan.
  • Promptly communicate any cancellations of scheduled healthcare services to avoid wasting time and resources.
  • Respect the facilities, equipment, and furnishings within the Centre, considering them as communal property and, therefore, also their own.
  • Maintain personal dignity and adhere to good practices that ensure the smooth conduct of care activities, by practicing good personal hygiene and wearing attire appropriate to the environment, respectful of oneself and others.
  • Avoid any behavior that might cause disturbance or discomfort to other patients.
  • Adhere to the no-smoking policy and the restrictions on mobile phone use within the premises, and take care of personal belongings without leaving them unattended.
