Computed Tomography
Dentalscan, also known as Cone Beam CT (Computed Tomography), is a state-of-the-art machine capable of performing a scan of the patient’s upper and lower dental arches using a low dose of X-rays. These X-rays pass through the subject to produce three-dimensional images of the maxillary bones and teeth.
The images are of the highest quality and allow for an in-depth examination of other soft tissues such as the gums and periodontal ligament. The main applications are in oral and maxillofacial surgery, endodontics-periodontics, orthodontics, and in otorhinolaryngology.
